Ward Andrews can provide a range of assessments:-
Parenting Assessments - all our assessments use the Parenting Assessment Manual tool kit to inform the overall assessment.
PAMs Assessments -This provides a PAMs report detailing the parenting capacity of vulnerable parents and takes longer than a parenting assessment. Ward Andrews uses a team approach with a social worker and family support worker allocated to the family. At least one Day Assessment at our centre is needed to complete the assessment.
SGO and Kinship Assessments- The assessment can be undertaken generally within 8 weeks of letter of instruction however the Local Authority will need to be responsible for medical, financial and other statutory checks
The Combined Assessment Programme (CAP) is a holistic assessment of vulnerable parents and their children. We have developed a new way to assess parents with learning disabilities combining a community based assessment with 2 periods of residential assessment of up to 72 hours . This can be tailored to suit the individual families needs.
CAP is a programme based around the Parent Assessment Manual (McGaw) model of assessment. It has many advantages over a fully residential programme and is considerably cheaper. It also has advantages over a community based assessment as the residential aspect offers the opportunity to assess all aspects of parenting.
We can deliver this programme flexibly and therefore please discuss the requirements with Jane Andrews or Assessment co-ordinator prior to making a referral. We are also able to offer a range of expertise through links other disciplines.
Our fully trained team have undergone police checks and we are able to provide references from satisfied customers.
